Foreign nationals having their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination from foreign education boards / GCE “A” level or its equivalent education in foreign countries shall be considered as Foreign students. Right to Cancel Admission

The University reserves the right to cancel admission of any student permanently or temporarily from the University or from any class or classes of WUB for violations of the rules and regulations of the university or failure to maintain academic requirement.

The international students need to secure for medical insurances such as check-ups, hospitalization, etc. WUB will support the process of insuring with reputable insurance companies in Bangladesh.

Application Procedure

Submit your Application for Admission online. Please click here for online application. Once the application is filled in, the next stage is to print the application form and Send the application form to the address “Office of Admissions, World University of Bangladesh (WUB), Administrative Campus, Building # 3/A, Road # 4, Dhanmondi, Dhaka 1205, Bangladesh”. Please also include with the application the following documents as stated below:

Tuition Fees

The students will bear all expenses for their education in WUB. Moreover, the expenses include an admission fee, tuition fee, food, logging and other incidental expenses such as purchasing of books and study materials. The student will arrange passport, Visa, health insurance, travel etc. by himself including payments. While in Bangladesh, the student will pay tuition and other academic fees in US Dollar. Other payments will be made in Bangladesh currency. For enrollment in WUB, the student will pay tuition fee for one year (Spring, Summer and Fall) in advance.

Vice-Chancellor Scholarship

The Vice-Chancellor Scholarship is offered to third and fourth year students who have not previously received any form of funding. The amount of scholarship for each year commencing from the year of offering will be US $1,200.

Economic Opportunity Programs

The Economic Opportunity Programs is a need based funding available for students who are economically challenged but demonstrate excellence in academic performance in pre-university qualifications. These funding usually takes the form of discounts in overall tuition fees ranging from 10 – 100 per cent of the total fees to be paid by students to the University. This scheme is offered on a one-to-one basis. Students are encouraged to apply simultaneously for such scholarships along with their applications for admission to the University.

Freedom Fighter Scholarship

As a mark of respect to the valiant freedom fighters of the Bangladesh War of Liberation and Independence of 1971, the University reserves 3% admission quota for only wards of freedom fighters of all categories, subject to their fulfilments of the minimum admission requirements at the World University of Bangladesh.

World Education Foundation Scholarship

WEF Scholarship is offered to brilliant students who have demonstrated excellence in academic performance in pre-university qualifications. The amount of the scholarship for arts and business faculties is US $5,000 and US $5,500 for engineering and science discipline.
