Department of Law, World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organized a ‘demanding 25^th March as International genocide day’ Program on 25^th March 2017  at WUB auditorium. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury graced the event as chief guest and Advocate Kazi Shahanara Yeasmin, President, Mohila Awami Ainjibi Porishad, Dhaka Bar Association was present as guest of honour. Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer were  present as special guests. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Chairman, Department of Law, Chaired the session. Controller of Examinations; Registrar; Heads of the departments; Faculty members; students of the Law Department were present in the program. The speaker expressed that International genocide day may be observed on 25^th March, because such genocide  was committed by people of one part of the country on the people of other part.
