Department of Civil Engineering, World Universityof Bangladesh organized a Seminar on ‘The Advancement and Prospect of Geotechnical Engineering in Bangladesh’ on Thursday, 29 November, 2018 at WUB main campus auditorium.

Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor,World University of Bangladesh was present as the chief guest and Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro vice-chancellor; Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer and Prof. Dr. Musfiq Mannan Choudhury, Chief Advisor of the university were special guests.Dr. Mohammad Shariful Islam, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering of BUET,was the Keynote speaker and Shafiqur Rahman Shafi, Assistant Geotechnical Engineer, Development Design Consultant Limited spoke on Geotechnical Engineering. Prof. Dr. SM Shirazi, Head, Department of Civil Engineering, WUB, presided over the program.
