A Seminar on “Runoff Potentiality and Groundwater Vulnerability of Some Asian Countries: A lesson for Bangladesh” was held on December 21, 2015 at World University of Bangladesh (WUB).             The seminar organized by the Department of Civil Engineering of WUB, was graced by Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh as Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor was present as special guest. Dr. SM Shirazi, Associate professor, Dept. of Hydraulics and Hydrology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Tecknologi Malaysia (UTM) and a teacher on leave from WUB was the key speaker. The speaker highlighted the rainfalls potentiality and ground water vulnerability in Malaysia having implication for Bangladesh. Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Deans of different faculties, Heads of Departments, faculty members and students were present in the seminar. Mr. Rabindra Ranjan Saha, Head, Department of Civil Engineering presided over the seminar.
