Md. Rubel Mia, a former student (30th batch) of the Department of Law, World University of Bangladesh, has been suffering from "Non Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer" for a long time. Initially, it was possible to get treatment, but later his on going treatment was hampered by the economic strain. In this situation, at the initiative of law students, the WUBian Students Society (WUB SS) worked to implement the "Stand for Rubel" event.A total amount of TK.40, 680/- handed over to Mr. Md. Rubel Miah on December 22, 2020, at the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil, Head of the Department of Law.It was the effort of all the volunteers, current and former students of the World University of Bangladesh Student Society.
