Webinar on “Poverty Alleviation and The Role of Institutions in Developing Bangladesh”

Department of English, World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organized a live
Facebook webinar on “Poverty Alleviation and the Role of Institutions in
Developing Bangladesh” on 20 September 2021 (Monday) at 7:00 PM.
Mr. Md. Nurullah Patwary, Assistant professor, Department of English, World University of Bangladesh moderated the program. Two guest speakers, Dr. Syed Emdadul Haque, MSc, MHSc, PhD, Country Representative, UChicago Research Bangladesh (An International Research Organization) and Mr. S. M. Tahsin Rahaman, Senior Analyst, BRAC MEAL Department participated in the webinar along with Mr. Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, Assistant Professor, Department of English who represented the University in the webinar. The major discussions were focused on the strategies to alleviate poverty. The scopes of educational institutions like universities were explored in the webinar. The event ended with a positive remark on the collaboration between NGOs and Universities to eradicate poverty from Bangladesh.
