The Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh, arranged a webinar titled “Circular Fashion: An approach to a Sustainable World” on August 31st, Tuesday, 8:00 pm on Facebook Live. Md. Shihab Siddique, Merchandising Manager of Denim Assortment (Bangladesh and Ethiopia), H&M Bangladesh Liaison office, adorned the program as Keynote Speaker. He illustrated circular fashion and its advantages along with the circular economy and the connection with the fashion industry. Emphasizing the environmental impact of not following a sustainable approach, the keynote speaker added the possibility of developing the sustainable textile sector in an environmentally friendly way by applying the circular fashion concept. He discussed the ongoing projects taken by global apparel producers and the response of Bangladeshi manufacturers. The audience enjoyed the webinar and participated in the discussion by writing comments. There was a question-answer session where the audiences asked their question using the comment section. The program was chaired by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Chairman, Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh. Lecturer & Academic Coordinator of the Textile Engineering Department, World University of Bangladesh-Umme Salma Ferdousi moderated the webinar. At the end of the webinar, the chairman thanked the keynote speaker, honorable vice chancellor sir, treasurer madam, and the concerned authority.
