WUB Debating Club has won the Shadow –Parliament Debate Competition

World University of Bangladesh Debating Club (WUBDC) has won the Shadow Parliament Debate Competition titled “ Credible Election is Possible under the current Election Commission” organized by ATN Bangla ‘Debate for Democracy’, held on June 04,2022 at FDC auditorium. The debaters of World University of Bangladesh defeated the debaters of Cumilla University.

Honorable Vice-Chancellor of WUB Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury congratulated and sent his best wishes to the winning team and all the members of the WUB Debating Club. At the same time, he expressed his gratitude to the chairman of ATN Bangla's 'Debate for Democracy' and all those associated with it.

A. T. M. Shamsul Huda, Former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), was present as the chief guest. He said in his speech the ruling party should take initiatives to resolve conflicts and disputes with other political parties and ensure their participation in the polls. The election commission should not intervene in this matter.

Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiran, Chairman of Debate for Democracy, presided over the function. At the end of the competition, trophies were distributed to the winning team.
