The Department of Business Administration organized the "Business Open Day" on October 27, 2023, which featured several events, including a Flash Mob, Inaugural Session, Sustainable Business Idea Competition, Lunch, a Prize Giving Ceremony for the Idea Competition, and a Cultural Program. The first round of the idea competition took place on October 26, 2023, with 11 teams from 13 departments of the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) participating with their unique and creative ideas. From the first round of the idea competition, the judging panel selected four teams for the final round based on 10 criteria. In the final round, three teams were chosen as the winners, first runner-up, and second runner-up. All the winning teams focused on technological innovations to achieve sustainability in their new endeavours.

During the opening ceremony, the chief guest was Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of WUB, and the guest of honor was SM Zahid Hasan, Executive Director of Walton Group. Other guests present at the program included Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-VC of WUB; Dr. Selim Ahmed, Head of World School of Business (WSB); and Md. Azim, Assistant Professor at WSB. The following guests also attended the program: Prof. Zaki Imam, Registrar; Md. Kamrul Hossain, Sr. Deputy Registrar; Ahsan Thouhid Milton, Sr. Deputy Registrar; and heads and faculty members from various departments of the World University of Bangladesh.

The prize-giving ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Mijanur Rahman from the Department of Marketing at the University of Dhaka as the chief guest. The special guests were Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, WUB; Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro- Vice Chancellor, WUB; and Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer, WUB.

The entire program was coordinated by the faculty members of the World School of Business, with special recognition for the relentless efforts of Md. Azim, Abdullah Mohammad Sharif, and Ujjal Yaman Choudhury. The official programs were anchored by Md. Moniruzzaman, Assistant Professor at WSB, while the cultural program was coordinated by Priyanka Das Dona, Assistant Professor at WSB. The program received support from the core members and coordinators of the WUB Business Club and WUB Entrepreneurship Club and was partially sponsored by the “Web Kingdom”.
