Short Biography:

Imran Hassan is a Senior Lecturer of Mathematics at the World University of Bangladesh, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has been serving as a faculty member in this university since 18 July, 2016. His research and teaching interests includes analytical geometry, calculus, fuzzy logic and fuzzy number, inventory model, linear algebra, numerical analysis, operations research, ordinary differential equations and special functions. His taught courses of mathematics in the areas of Mathematics for Engineering and Applied Science, Mathematics for Business Decisions, Numerical Methods and Scientific Computing, Functional Analysis, Analytical and Numerical Method for Ordinary Differential Equation, Analytical and Numerical method for Partial Differential Equation, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He published a good number of papers in reputed international journals. He also has successfully completed the professional training program for academic staff organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

He was born in Dinajpur district of Bangladesh and completed his schooling from Dinajpur Zila School, Dinajpur. He finished his HSC from Dinajpur Government College, Dinajpur and then went to Jahangirnagar University earning his Bachelor and Master degrees in Mathematics. He passed the B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. examination in 2013 and 2014 respectively from the Department of Mathematics, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh and was placed in the First class in both B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc.. He was awarded ‘Nakano Scholarship Award’ by Jahangirnagar University for outstanding academic achievement in Bachelor of Science (Honours) examination. His long term goal is to be a successful person through Teaching and Researches.
