Short Biography:

Ms. Liza Bosak is serving as a Lecturer in Statistics at this University. Before joining this university, she had been working as a guest teacher and researcher of the Government Azizul Haque College, Bogura. She also worked as an Office Manager cum Research Officer for about three years in HEQEP CP3319 Sub-project entitled with “Improvement of Research Capabilities of the Teachers and Post-graduate Students of HSTU through Training on Research Methodology and Statistical Analysis Techniques and Development of Digital Statistical laboratory". She has completed her B.Sc. (Hon’s) in Statistics and Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics with thesis titled “Study on Child Nutrition, Mother Health and Food Security Status of a NGO Supported Farmers’ Community in Dinajpur District” from Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur, Bangladesh. She is well experienced with SPSS, MSTATC, CropStat, GENSTAT, ANTHRO, MINITAB, R-Language, STATA and Statistix software. She has served as a Research Assistant in several projects sponsored by government and non-government organizations, Bangladesh. She also served as a Field Enumerator in several projects sponsored by University Grand Commission of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics and British Council of Bangladesh. She also acted supervisory role in Economic Census-2013. She is a life-member and also elected executive committee member of Bangladesh Statistical Association and IQAC team member in World University of Bangladesh. She has attended a number of conferences and seminars at national and international level. She has participated various symposium and workshops organized by different universities of the country as well as some government and non-government organizations. She has presented her research work at national conferences. She has also presented several posters on her work at various conferences. Her research area includes applied statistics, public health and social science. She has published articles in the national and international journals.
