Short Biography:

This is Md. Majibul Haque Babu who has completed his M.Sc degree in Physics from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Prior to, he has achieved B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Physics from the University of Chittagong. Before joining the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) as a full time Lecturer, he worked as a research assistant (RA) from May 2017-May 2018 in UGC project, and teaching assistant (TA) from April 2016-March 2017 in the Department of Physics, BUET under supervision of Prof. Dr. Jiban Podder. He does love research work both theoretical and experimental, in this direction, he has 13 international journal papers which are published in Elsevier, Springer, AIP and WILEY publishers. His research interest in the materials physics underlying the applications of transition metal oxide-based thin films, in particular monolayer and bilayer oxide-based thin film. In addition, he has focused on the Density Functional theory (DFT) calculation to determine the electronic band structure, lattice parameters, DOS calculation and so on. Lately, he has also intrigued in the field of Valleytronics (i.e It may refer to other forms of quantum manipulation of valleys in semiconductors, including quantum computation with valley-based qubits, valley blockade and other forms of quantum electronics) which would be imperative for manufacturing the Quantum Computer.
