A Seminar on “Cloning of Cellulose Microfibril Swelling (cms) Gene from Bacillus sp. AY8 to reduce the Recalcitrance of Cellulose”was organized by the Department of Pharmacy of the World University of Bangladesh on November 29, 2014. The keynote speaker was Dr. Md. Azizul Haque of Gyeongnam National University of Science and Technology, South Korea. In his lecture he discussed the role of bioethanol as an alternative source of power and elaborated feature of cellulose swelling novel enzyme. The program was graced by Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, WUB as the Chief guest and special guests Prof. A K M Ziaul Islam, Controller of Examinations and Prof. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir, Advisor, Department of Textile Engineering.
