Department of Computer Science and Engineering of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organized two-day long of 5^th National WUB ComTech Festival. The closing ceremony was on November 25, 2016 at the Panthapath Campus auditorium of the University. The festival was chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of the University; A. K. M Mozammel Huq MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs (MOLWA) graced the occasion as chief guest. Professor Dr. Musfiq M. Choudhury, Secretary, Board of Trustees of the university; Russell T Ahmed, Senior Vice President, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and Kazi Hasan Robin, Head of the CSE Department were present as special guests.  Professor Dr. M Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university delivered address of welcome.

The students from different universities and Colleges participated in "Robotics contest";"Project Showcasing"; "Debate Competition"; "IT Olympiad" and "Game Competition". The winners were awarded with Certificates, Crests, Medals, Prize Money and Gift Coupons. In a Boat Ball competition World University of Bangladesh became champion and another team of World University of Bangladesh became runner up. In a Project Showcasing competition North South University became champion and Daffodil International University became runner up. In an Idea Contest competition World University of Bangladesh became champion and North South University became runner up. The festival ended with raffle draws. The prizes of raffle draw were Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka Air ticket; Smart Phone and twenty more items.
