A research workshop was held by the Bangladesh Open Source Network, a non-governmental organization, in machine learning at WUB. ‘iPay’ and ‘Bangladesh Open Source Network’ jointly organized a two-day workshop from 12th and 13th July 2019 in the seminar room of World University of Bangladesh. More than thirty five engineers working in the ICT sector participated in this workshop. LinkedIn Data Scientist Dr. Badrul Muni Sarowar was the facilitator at the workshop.

The workshop was aimed at establishing industry linkages with WUB so that students can contribute to Fintech through advanced programming and coding approaches. Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh attended the closing ceremony of the workshop. Munir Hasan, General Secretary of BDOSN; Zakaria Swapan, CEO of iPay; and Kazi Hasan Robin, Head of the CSE department, World University of Bangladesh were also present in this workshop. After the workshop, everyone received certificate.
