The Department of English, World University of Bangladesh observed International Day for the Eradication of Poverty in its Permanent Campus at Uttara on 17 October 2022. Honorable faculties and the students of the Department of English participated in the program to raise awareness. The students and the teachers of the department discussed the various challenges the underprivileged people face everyday. They also discussed the role of education in eradicating the poverty. A rally was organized by the department at 1.30 pm where students carried placards with slogans. The theme of the 2022 event was "Dignity for All in Practice”.
