The Department of English of World University of Bangladesh organized a live webinar on "Women Empowerment" on 21 October 2022 at 7 p.m, Friday. Raihana Akter, Associate Professor of the Department of English of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam Univresity was the key speaker and Nujhat Afrin, Broadcast Journalist of Independent Television was the webinar speaker of the program. The webinar was hosted by Humayra Akter, Lecturer, Department of English.

The main focus of the webinar was raising awareness about women's sense of self worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their rights to influence social change for themselves and others.

The webinar was broadcast in the Official Facebook page of the Department of English, World University of Bangladesh.
