WUB Textile Club, World
University of Bangladesh arranged an instructional seminar to introduce a
flagship program of Textiles Today, “Textile Talent Hunt 8.0” to the students
of the World University of Bangladesh on September 21, 2023 at the Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury
Auditorium. This program is to inspire innovation across the textile and
apparel industry for undergrad students studying in engineering discipline.
Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro Vice Chancellor, WUB, was the chief guest of the
seminar. Md. Kamrul Hossain, Sr. Deputy Registrar, WUB; Sayedul Hassan, AGM, HR, Centro Tex Ltd; Sanjay Kumar Saha, AGM, Industry
Management, Textile Today; and Rahbar Hossain, Manager, Business Development
and Coordinator, Textile Talent Hunt, were present as the special guests.
Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, the
pro-vice chancellor, spoke persuasively on the innovation and growth of the
textile sector. He also encouraged the students to take part in this talent
hunt in order to support Bangladesh's diverse textile industry. Sayedul Hassan
mentioned how this talent hunt will integrate eminent industry experts and
academic experts with the innovation projects. Rahbar Hossain noted that the
key objectives of the Textile Talent Hunt are to instill innovation in
individuals working in the industry and in businesses in general. At the end of
the seminar, there was a question-and-answer session.
Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Chairman
of the Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh,
chaired the program. Everyone was thanked for attending the seminar near the
end of the session.
