WORKSHOP ON "LANGUAGE TEACHING METHODOLOGIES”

The Department of English, World University of Bangladesh organized a one-of-a-kind workshop on "Language Teaching Methodologies” for the newly recruited faculty members on September 18, 2023 at World University of Bangladesh campus. The department introduced this initiative to help the newly recruited teachers to familiarize themselves with the updated language teaching techniques and methodologies with the objective of helping them in their journey to enhance their real-life classroom teaching skills. This unique workshop, convened by Mr. A H M Ohidujjaman, Lecturer, Department of English,is a part of the interventions undertaken by the Department of English related to the “SDG-4: Quality Education” targeted for the faculty members of the English Department.

The workshop commenced with a welcome note from Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, the Chairman of The Department of English, World University of Bangladesh. Honorable Vice-Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, graced the workshop as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh also attended the program as a special guest. They provided valuable guidelines for the newly recruited faculty members before Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, Asst. Professor, Dept. of English and Md. Saiful Alam, Asst. Professor, Dept. of English, facilitated the program by sharing their expertise in the field. The workshop concluded with a lively interactive session between the existing faculty members and the newcomers in the field where they shared their experiences and challenges with each other.
