Prize-giving Ceremony: WUB Intra-University Sports Championship 2024

The Department of English and the Department of Architecture at the World University of Bangladesh collaborated to organize an indoor sports eventtitled "WUB Indoor Intra-University Sports Championship 2024." The event started on February 5, 2024 and ended with a grand prize-giving ceremony on March 11, 2024 at Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium, World University of Bangladesh. Heroic freedom fighter Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of the World University of Bangladesh, was the Chief Guest at the prize giving ceremony and the ceremony was presided over by Ms. Zenat Islam, Head of the Department of Architecture. Noteworthy attendees included the Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and Heads of various departments of World University of Bangladesh.

In the prize-giving ceremony, Mr. Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, Head of the Department of English, and Ms. Zenat Islam, Head of the Department of Architecture, extended warm greetings to all participants, including students, faculty, and staff of WUB, thanking them for their lively and enthusiastic participation in the programs, specially the contributions from the honorable Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury. Over 200 students and 50 faculty and staff members participated in various games, including Ludo, Chess, Table Tennis, Carom, Skipping, Pillow Passing, and Badminton.

The thematic framework of "WUB Intra-University Sports Championship-2024 (Season-02)" was meticulously aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’. WUB is steadfast in its belief that such sporting endeavors not only provide entertainment but also foster teamwork and promote physical activity among participants.

The World University of Bangladesh reaffirms its commitment to organizing events of this nature, recognizing their multifaceted benefits in advancing the holistic development of its students. In principle, WUB remains dedicated to fostering a culture of health and activity within its community.
