The Department of English at World University of Bangladesh Organized a Training Program on the Standardization of Examination Question Papers

On May 27, 2024, the Department of English of World University of Bangladesh successfully organized a specialized training program on “Standardization of Examination Question Papers” for the faculty members of the department. The training program was led by Mr. Md. Nurullah Patwary, Assistant Professor of English. The contributors were Mr. Saiful Alam, Assistant Professor of English; Ms. Sarah Tabassum, Senior Lecturer of English; and Ms. Sadia Afroj Tithi, Lecturer of English at World University of Bangladesh. The presentations focused on different aspects of making standard and effective examination question papers, and the presenters provided hands-on training to the faculty members of the department about standard question-paper making techniques.

In the training program, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, an eminent freedom fighter and the Vice Chancellor of the World University of Bangladesh, was present as the Chief Guest, and Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the World University of Bangladesh, was present as the Special Guest. Mr. Nasim Fardose Sajib, Head of the Department of English, presided over the programme. In his speech, the Chief Guest thanked the organizers for organizing such an intelligent event and asked the department to continue its efforts to ensure the continual improvement of the academic standard of the department. The training program was aligned with SDG 4 and the vision of the university.
