Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, WUB Signs MoU with Nimble Code Execution System Ltd. (NICE) to Enhance Practical Skills in Hotel Management

The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) at World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nimble Code Execution System Ltd. (NICE). The signing ceremony was held on 26th October 2026 at 11:30 AM in Room No. 502 of WUB, bringing together university officials, esteemed guests, and faculty members to celebrate this strategic partnership.

Prof. Dr. M Nurul Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor of WUB, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest, with Professor M. Moqbul Hossain, Controller of Examinations, and Prof. Dr. Selim Ahmed, Head of the Department of Business Administration, present as special guests. Representing the Registrar’s Office were Senior Deputy Registrar Kamrul Hossain and AHM Milton, underscoring strong administrative support for this initiative.

The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Mohammad Nasiul Azim, Professor & Director of the Department of THM, on behalf of dept, and Mr. Badrul Alom, CEO of NICE. Mr. Azim emphasized the collaboration’s importance, stating, "This partnership is a vital step in equipping our students with skills that are directly relevant to the hospitality industry. Our goal is to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands."

Mr. Badrul Alom, CEO of NICE, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, adding, "We are honored to work with WUB’s Department of THM to nurture the future leaders of hospitality. Our software will provide students with essential practical experience and technical skills that will distinguish them in the industry."

Md. Abdul Latif Mahmud, Assistant Professor & Coordinator and Sara Murtaza, Lecturer of the Department of THM, attended the MoU signing ceremony as a witness, accompanied by other faculty members who joined to mark this milestone event.

This MoU reflects WUB’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates prepared to excel in tourism and hospitality. By aligning its curriculum with current industry standards, the Department of THM aims to provide an educational experience that meets the evolving needs of the field.
