WUB Hosts Class Session on

World University of Bangladesh (WUB) proudly hosted a class session titled "Paid Internships in International 5/7 Star Hotels in China" on Saturday, 26th October 2024. This session was designed to provide students with valuable insights into paid internship opportunities at prestigious international hotels, aimed at enhancing their career development in the hospitality sector.

Prof. Dr. M Nurul Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor of WUB, attended the class session as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the university's commitment to fostering practical learning experiences for students. Md. Kamrul Hossain, Senior Deputy Registrar, was also present as a special guest, further highlighting the administration's support for this initiative. Md. Abdul Latif Mahmud, Assistant Professor & Coordinator and Sara Murtaza, Lecturer of the Department of THM, attended the Class session.

The session was chaired by Professor Mohammad Nasiul Azim, Professor & Director of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) at WUB. Notably, Mohammad Arif, CEO of Asecure International, served as the speaker for the session, providing an in-depth explanation of the paid internship opportunities available to THM students.

During his presentation, Mr. Arif elaborated on the various aspects of the internship program, detailing how students can gain hands-on experience in luxury hotels in China. He emphasized the importance of such internships in enhancing students’ skills, building their professional networks, and boosting their employability in the competitive hospitality industry.

Prof. Dr. M Nurul Islam highlighted the significance of such initiatives, stating, "Internships are essential for students to develop real-world skills and gain invaluable experience in the global hospitality industry. This program not only enhances their employability but also prepares them to meet the challenges of a competitive job market."

The class session was well-received by students, who expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities that the internship program would provide.
