Graduating First Batch of Students from the Department of Architecture at World University of Bangladesh

The Department of Architecture at the World University of Bangladesh celebrated a significant milestone with the graduation of its first batch of students on February 12, 2025. The event marked the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, with the students presenting their thesis work to a distinguished panel of jurors. Many of them are the most well-known architects from the professional field of Bangladesh, offering insightful criticism and suggestions that will influence the young architects' future. The esteemed panel of jurors along with Head of the Department Ar. Zenat Islam were as follows:

·         Ar. Kazi Nurul Karim Dilu – Former Advisor at Crown Cement and Principal Architect of Nreechaya

·         Ar.Sazzadur Rashid – Chairman, Department of Architecture Prime Asia University

·         Ar. M Wahid Asif – Secretary, Professional IAB and Partner Architect at 4 Walls

·         Ar. Sabrina Aftab – Former Secretary, Seminar & Convention, IAB, and Principal Architect at Edge & Age

·         Ar. Sadia Akter Mumu – Secretary, Seminar & Convention, IAB, and Principal Architect at Matreek

·         Ar. Shafinaz Sameen – Principal Research Architect at the Center for Housing & Building Research (HBRC) and Assistant Professor, Department of Architecture, MIST

The jurors assessed a wide range of thesis projects, with each providing valuable insights on various aspects such as design innovation, functionality, sustainability, and cultural relevance. Their collective expertise fostered a constructive environment for the students, guiding them to refine their architectural concepts and future visions.
