The Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh embraced its 10th year of celebration organizing a three-day long debate competition titled ‘WUB National Debate Championship’19’in association with Bangladesh Debate Federation. The debate competition held on 26th-28th September 2019 where thirty-two prominent colleges and thirty universities competed in the program. The volunteers associated in this competition were groomed in multiple sessions by the Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF) members. The volunteers worked persistently and made the program successful. To appreciate the volunteers’ work, the department of Textile organized a Volunteers’ Appreciation Ceremony on November 25, 2019 in the Main Campus. Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, was present as Chief Guest in the ceremony. Moreover, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Proctor, WUB and Abdullah Md. Shukrana, President, (BDF) were present as special guests whereas Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Chairman, Department of Textile Engineering was present as the Chairperson of the program. All the speakers praised highly about the contributions of the young volunteers. Volunteers expressed their gratitude receiving the appreciation certificates.
