World University of Bangladesh Cultural Club organized “Pitha Uthsob” to exhibit traditional pithas of Bangladesh and to introduce visitors and students with our cultural practices. The Inauguration program of the Pitha Uthsob was held on 06 February (Thursday) at the Main Campus auditorium. All departments of the university brought varieties of pithas and cakes such as Narikel Puli, Patishapta, Nokshi pitha and many more. The auditorium and Pitha stalls were beautifully decorated showcasing different types of delicious pithas.

Veteran journalist Mr. Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, Editor, Daily Sun inaugurated the program and praised the initiative by the Cultural Club of WUB. He along with Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury ; Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam; Treasurer , Morsheda Choudhury ; Cheif Advisor , Prof. Dr. Musfiq M. Choudhury ; visited all the pitha stalls and tasted different types of pithas. Deans, Heads of departments, Faculties, students, University officers, staff and guests visited pitha stalls. Every one tasted pitha and highly appreciated such an endeavor. It may be mentioned that such festival has been part of WUB activities since its establishment in early part of 2003.
