Pitha occupies is an important place in our culinary culture. In Bangladesh it has been a long tradition to make varieties of pitha, particularly in the winter. As the grandmother makes delectable pitha, the children await eagerly, the air gets heavy with the aroma of khejurer rosh -- a familiar picture in almost all rural households. Busy city-dwellers however do not have the time to make pitha; many grandmothers do not live with their grandparents either. To relish this scrumptious treat, an urbanite has to make a stop at a pitha store on his/ her way home. Realizing this fact World University of Bangladesh is going to organize Pitha Uthshob  for their students on 06 February 2020 (Thursday) to 07 February 2020 (Friday) in their Main Campus Auditorium.

The Inauguration of Pitha Uthsob will be held on February 06 (Thursday) 2020, at 10:00 am. Veteran journalist Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, Cheif Editor, Daily Sun has given his kind consent to remain present as Chief guest. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury shall preside over the inauguration program.
