Training on Public Speaking

The Department of English, World University of Bangladesh organized a specialized training programme on public speaking on 15^th July 2023. The programme was held at the Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury Auditorium at the WUB campus. The training programme was open to all the students of WUB and was led by Mr. Md. Nurullah Patwary, Assistant Professor, Mr. A H M Ohidujjaman, Lecturer, and Mr. Md. Atik Ullah, Lecturer, Department of English, WUB. Mr. Jamal Uddin Jamy, a Corporate Trainer, and EL-Based Communication Coach conducted the session as a Key Trainer. Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh, was present at the training as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Zaki Imam, the Registrar of WUB, was present as the Special Guest.

In addition, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Heads of different Departments, faculty members from different departments, and high officials were also present in the training session. The Head of the Department, Department of English, Mr. Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, presided over the training programme. The trainers trained the participants about various strategies and techniques of public speaking and presentation skills. The training programme ended with a brief cultural programme led by Tashfin Ahmed, a student of the Department of English.
