World University of Bangladesh's English Department Gears Up for Accreditation with SAR Preparation Workshop

In a bid to bolster its commitment to academic excellence, the English Department at the World University of Bangladesh hosted a team-building workshop on January 15, 2024, focusing on the meticulous preparation of a Self-Assessment Report (SAR). This workshop played a pivotal role in the accreditation process mandated by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC).

Led by A H M Ohidujjaman, Lecturer & Head of Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC), the workshop brought together the department's faculty members, with active participation from Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of English. The collaborative effort aimed to instigate comprehensive preparations for the impending SAR.

During the workshop, activities were centered around the delegation of responsibilities, establishment of timelines, and strategic scheduling of meetings. The primary focus was on ensuring the department's compliance with BAC standards and a thorough self-assessment of the intended program.

The dynamic facilitation by A H M Ohidujjaman, supported by other dedicated members of the committee, set the tone for a productive session. The engaged participation of faculty members further enriched the discussions, fostering a collective commitment to meeting accreditation requirements.

The workshop's conclusion saw a unanimous agreement within the department to work collaboratively on crafting an outstanding SAR. The commitment to excellence and adherence to BAC standards were highlighted as key principles that will guide the department through the accreditation process.
