15 Storied New Academic Building forthe World University of Bangladesh

January 27, 2024 - The World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has announced the commencement of construction of a new academic building on its own campus to enhance its educational infrastructure. Under the supervision of esteemed Architect Ahmed Imtiaz Khan and Chief Engineer Mohammad Hasnain Ibne Halim, the project is part of the university's commitment to academic excellence and sustainable growth.

The announcement was made during a meeting led by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury. In his address, Professor Choudhury highlighted the university's resilience and adaptability in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the successful establishmentof a new campus. WUB, currently ranked seventh among 11 universities duly beingrecipients of permanent recognition, is aspiring to climb to the top of this list.

The ambitious construction plan envisages a 15-story building to be meticulously designed with a focus on strategic plans. This development is based on a comprehensive analysis of the overall growth anticipated in the coming decade. The participants presented their requirements. Additionally, the new building will feature state-of-the-art laboratories and multimedia classrooms, catering to the dynamic needs of modern education. The plan in essence emphasized includes the creation of the university's holistic approach to student welfare.

Reinforcing the university's commitment to delivering a high standard of education, Dr. Choudhury announced plans for recruiting local and international faculty members. The building's layout will also facilitate group study, fostering a collaborative and interactive learning atmosphere.

The meeting was attended by other members who contributed by idea generation including Treasurer MorshedaChoudhury, Architect Ahmed Imtiaz Khan, Chief Engineer Mohammad Hasnain mIbne Halim, and department heads.

The Proposed new academic building is a testament to the university's ongoing pursuit of excellence and commitment to nurturing future leaders.
