Pitha Utsab or cake festival is a traditional festival of Bengali culture. Cultural Club of World University of Bangladesh has arranged a Pitha Utsab at the university premises on 06-07 February, 2020. Students of all the departments participated with great enthusiasm. Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Economic advisor to the honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh was present as the Cheif guest at the closing session of the two day long Pitha Uthsob. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury chaired the closing session. Dr. Mashiur Rahman, along with Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury ; Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam; Treasurer , Morsheda Choudhury ; Cheif Advisor , Prof. Dr. Musfiq M. Choudhury ; visited all the pitha stalls and tasted different types of pithas. Every one highly appreciated such an endeavor. It may be mentioned that such festival has been part of WUB activities since its establishment in early part of 2003. Pithaghor Department of Pharmacy declared as the best stall among the 22 stalls in this festival by dint of their outstanding performance.
