Md. Toriqul Islam is a Lecturer in Mathematics at the Department of Basic Science, World University of Bangladesh (WUB), where he has been serving since September 21, 2023. He earned his B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Dhaka (Affiliated) and his M.Sc. in Pure Mathematics from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2022. During his M.Sc. studies, he worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mathematics at BUET from January to June 2021.Β His research interests lie in the development of advanced computational and mathematical methods, integrating artificial intelligence, control theory, numerical modeling, optimization, and fuzzy logic. He is particularly focused on applications in large-scale engineering, computational fluid dynamics, computational biology, and statistical analysis of public health issues. His M.Sc. thesis was titled βComputational Techniques for Riccati-Based Feedback Stabilization of Large-Scale Sparse Index-2 Descriptor System.β
Mr. Islam has published seven articles in reputed international journals and has presented his work at several international conferences. His ongoing research involves computer-aided simulation tools for solving large-scale matrix equations in control system analysis and related applications.Β
He aspires to build a strong academic and research career in mathematics, particularly in higher education, contributing both to knowledge advancement and to the development of his country through teaching and research.
