Launching Wadhwani Foundation’s 21st Century’s Employability Skills Course in World University of Bangladesh (WUB) for the students

The Department of English initiated a partnership with Wadhwani Foundation, a US-based non-profitable foundation to launch the 21st Century’s Employability Skills Course for the students of World University of Bangladesh to create decent jobs, entrepreneurship, and creativity and innovation for full and productive employment. Through this partnership with the World University of Bangladesh (WUB), the students will be skilled within the domain of communication, problem solving, teamwork, customer centricity, attitude & behavioral skills, workplace awareness, entrepreneurial mindset and digital literacy. The Employability Skills course has been  offered from WF’s edtech platform  delivered in a blended approach (Self and Online/ Offline Live class) with assessments and skills scorecard.

In the launching ceremony on 20th June 2022, D2S trainer Md Ashikuzzaman from the Wadhwani Foundation, staged a mini workshop for the students to provide a practical experience in order to enroll in the course. Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, Assistant Professor, Department of English, coordinated the program for the benefit of the students of World University of Bangladesh. Teachers from the Department of English and the Department of Business Administration were present in the program alongside the students from different departments.
