The WUB Law Club under Department Law of World University of Bangladesh distributed food relief in the flood-stricken area of Sylhet on 3 July 2022.  Food packets were distributed among 180 flood-affected families in the  Alirga High School  Asshoroi in Rajbari, Kholakhas Haor, Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet District. The food packets contained rice 5 kg, onion 1 kg, potato 2 kg, oil 1 kg, saline, water purification medicine etc. The relief team consisted of Monir Hossain, Asha Islam, Ariful Islam Jewel, Sifatul Islam Pranto .Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil , President of WUB Law Club supervised the relief distribution program.

The local counselors and the representatives of the Upazilas (Local council) appreciated this move of the university. They stated that “despite being an institution of higher learning, by being during times of flood, the students and the teachers have displayed empathy”
