The Department of Business
Administration, World University of Bangladesh in collaboration with NetCom
Learning, organized a seminar titled "AI for Future Leaders" on
Thursday, 29th May 2025. The event was held at the Founding
Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium and brought together students, faculty,
and industry professionals to explore the transformative role of artificial
intelligence in shaping future leadership.
Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro
Vice-Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh, attended the seminar as the
Chief Guest. The keynote speakers were Mr. Abdur Rahman Mamun, Head of
Partnership at NetCom Learning Bangladesh, and Mr. Md. Imdadul Islam, Senior
Business Development Manager at NetCom Learning Bangladesh. Both speakers
shared their expertise on how AI is revolutionizing industries and careers,
with a particular emphasis on the evolving demands of leadership in an
AI-driven world.
Throughout the session, the speakers
discussed the latest trends in artificial intelligence, highlighting its impact
on decision-making, strategic planning, and professional development. They
emphasized that we are currently navigating the Fifth Industrial Revolution,
where AI is enabling unprecedented levels of personalization and efficiency.
The speakers underscored that AI is no longer a supplementary skill, but a
critical one for anyone aspiring to thrive in the modern workforce. They
stressed the importance of learning how to effectively use AI prompts to
achieve desired outcomes, and warned that professionals who fail to adapt may
find themselves replaced by those who are more AI-proficient.
To support students in developing
these essential competencies, the speakers introduced a specialized course
titled “AGENT X”. This program offers practical training in tools such as
CoPilot, Prompt Engineering, and Agent AI, designed to enhance students’
readiness for the demands of future careers shaped by technological innovation.
Professor
Dr. Selim Ahmed, Dean, Business Studies and Head of the Department of Business
Administration, chaired the session and delivered the closing remarks. He
expressed sincere appreciation to all stakeholders for their invaluable support
in organising the seminar. Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar, World University of
Bangladesh, and Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Director of IQAC at WUB, attended
the session as special guests, sharing their valuable insights on AI.
The seminar was highly valuable for
students, equipping them with current insights and practical knowledge in
artificial intelligence. It served as an important step in preparing future
leaders to navigate and contribute to the fast-growing AI ecosystem, enhancing
their career prospects and leadership potential in an increasingly digital
world.
