A special Career Development and Skill
Orientation Seminar was held on January 20, 2026, at the campus of the World
University of Bangladesh (WUB) in Uttara, Dhaka, through the joint initiative
of world-renowned IT and engineering skill development institutions Aptech and
CADD Center Bangladesh.
The main objective of the seminar was to
provide practical guidance to university-level students regarding current and
future job market demands, technology-based skill development, and preparation
for international careers. During the session, students were introduced to
modern IT and engineering software, industry-ready skills, and global career
pathways in detail.
The program was graced by Professor Dr. M.
Nurul Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the World University of Bangladesh, as
the Chief Guest. Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar of the University, was
present as a Special Guest. Also attending as Special Guest was Mr. Hasan
Tariq, Proprietor of Bangladesh Foundry and Engineering Works Limited
(BFEW) Technical Training Center and CEO of Aptech and CADD Center Bangladesh.
Among other distinguished guests were Professor
Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering
and Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Director
of IQAC and Professor of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, along with
senior officials from the concerned faculties of the university.
Also present at the event were K. H. Saif
Ul Huda, Chief Marketing Officer of Aptech and CADD Center Bangladesh; Md.
Hafizuddin Munna, Business Development Manager; senior trainers from Aptech
and CADD Center; and a large number of students from various departments of the
university.
While addressing the seminar, Mr. Hasan Tariq
stated:
“In today’s world, skills are the true
strength for survival alongside academic degrees. Not only academic
certificates, but industry-relevant software knowledge and practical skills
enable students to build competitive careers at home and abroad. The mission of
Aptech and CADD Center is to connect students with these real-world
competencies.”
On behalf of the World University of
Bangladesh, it was stated that such career- and skill-based seminars
significantly enhance students’ confidence and play an important role in
preparing them for professional life. It is noteworthy that Aptech and CADD
Center have been providing IT and engineering skill development training in
more than 40 countries worldwide for several decades and have collectively
transformed hundreds of thousands of learners into skilled human resources
globally.
Through this seminar, students of the WUB
gained practical and effective guidance on modern career planning, skill
development, and international employment opportunities.
