Students of the Department of Architecture at World University of
Bangladesh (WUB), accompanied by faculty members, attended ‘IAB BUILD EXPO 2026’, held
from September 9 to 11, 2026, at the Bangladesh-China Friendship
Conference Center (BCFCC), Agargaon, Dhaka. The visit provided students with an
opportunity to connect academic learning with practical industry experience and
explore emerging developments in architecture and construction.
Held under the theme “Where Bangladesh’s Architects Meet the Materials That Build the
Nation,” the expo showcased innovative building materials,
construction technologies, and evolving industry trends relevant to
contemporary architectural practice.
Through this educational visit, students gained valuable exposure
to modern construction materials and sustainable building solutions. The
experience also enabled them to explore how technological advancements and
material innovation can contribute to more efficient, environmentally
responsible, and sustainable built environments.
The initiative reflects the Department of Architecture’s
commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement, helping Students
Bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and professional practice. Such
exposure equips future architects with a broader understanding of the
construction industry and prepares them to address emerging professional
challenges with creativity, technical knowledge, and sustainability in mind.
By connecting architectural education with industry developments,
World University of Bangladesh continues to emphasize practical learning and
the importance of innovative and sustainable approaches to the built
environment.
