Message

Welcome to the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. It is my great pleasure to introduce the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), one of the most forward-looking, vibrant, and dynamic departments within our faculty. Over the years, the department has grown remarkably and is now the largest at WUB, with more than 25 full-time faculty members and approximately 1,200 undergraduate students.

The EEE Department is deeply committed to delivering an outstanding educational experience that empowers students to achieve both personal and professional excellence. With a strong focus on student-centered and practice-oriented learning, the department prepares graduates to meet the challenges of existing and emerging technologies in the 21st century. To ensure this, we continuously recruit highly qualified faculty members from home and abroad, implement outcome-based education (OBE), and strengthen our state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, and research facilities.

We strongly encourage our students to engage in academic and research activities beyond the classroom—participating in conferences, producing scientific publications, joining national and international competitions, and becoming active members of professional communities. The department supports these initiatives through various student-centric engineering forums, including the IEEE Student Branch and other academic clubs.

Electrical and Electronic Engineering, as a discipline, plays a central role in shaping modern societies. It encompasses the design, research, development, manufacturing, and management of systems and devices that rely on electricity, electronics, and photonics to transmit power and information. EEE graduates may contribute to diverse sectors, including product design, system analysis, industrial automation, software and hardware development, telecommunications, medical technology, defense, and advanced scientific research. Their responsibilities may range from designing innovative electrical systems and performing detailed technical analyses to supervising manufacturing processes, ensuring safety compliance, investigating technical issues, and enhancing performance through modern engineering solutions.

For more than a decade, the EEE program at WUB has earned a strong reputation for maintaining high academic standards, robust laboratory facilities, and a supportive learning environment. Our graduates are successfully pursuing careers and higher studies across the world. The steady demand for admission to this program reflects its strength, sustainability, and continued success. WUB remains fully committed to providing quality education and fostering future leaders in engineering.
