Jotsona Akter is a Lecturer in Statistics in the Basic Science Division at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB). She is completed her Master of Science (M.S.) in Statistics (Thesis Group) at the University of Dhaka, with an excellent GPA of 3.91 out of 4.00. She also completed her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Statistics from the same institution with a CGPA of 3.82 out of 4.00, demonstrating strong academic merit throughout her studies.
Her research interests include demographic studies, the digital economy, and economic growth, with a particular focus on emerging nations. Her M.S. thesis examines the role of the demographic dividend in the digital economy, while her undergraduate research focused on child nutritional status in Bangladesh.
In addition to her research activities, Jotsona Akter is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring students. As a lecturer, she actively engages undergraduate learners in both theoretical and applied statistics, emphasizing conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and data-driven problem-solving.
