Biography

Saddam Hossain is currently serving as the Head of the Basic Science Division at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB). Since joining WUB on January 3, 2019, as a Lecturer in Mathematics, he has demonstrated strong academic expertise and administrative leadership, contributing significantly to teaching, research, and student development.

He earned his B.Sc. and M.S.(Thesis) degrees in Applied Mathematics from Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), where he built a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied aspects of the subject. He has published eight articles in different international journals. His areas of academic interest include differential equations, mathematical modeling, and applied mathematics, cosmology, numerical analysis, mathematical modeling in biology, artificial neural networks, artificial intelligence, time series, and mathematical statistics..

In his role as Head of the Division, Mr. Hossain has been instrumental in fostering an environment of academic excellence, encouraging interdisciplinary learning, and supporting innovative approaches to teaching. He is committed to guiding students in developing critical thinking skills and applying mathematical knowledge to solve real-world problems.

Beyond academics, he is actively involved in departmental administration, faculty development, and academic planning to enhance the overall learning experience at WUB. His dedication to both teaching and leadership continues to play an important role in the growth and advancement of the Basic Science Division.
