Biography

Suman Kar is a highly experienced educator with over 17 years of dedicated service in the field of teaching and academic leadership. Throughout this time, he has not only excelled in the classroom but has also made significant contributions to educational administration and institutional development.

From 2019 to 2025, he served as the Head of the Basic Science Division at the World University of Bangladesh. Currently, he works as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Basic Science Division. As an active member of various academic committees, he has been working in departmental development, shaping curriculum, ensuring quality assurance, academic planning, and fostering innovation in teaching and learning.

 He has successfully completed the professional training program for academic staff organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) with financial and technical assistance from the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC). He successfully serves as a member of the Question Moderation Committee, ensuring transparency, fairness, and academic integrity in assessment processes. Additionally, as an IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) Team Leader, he focuses on continuous improvement, accreditation, and quality enhancement.

For more than a decade, Suman Kar has taken a leading role in overseeing divisional responsibilities, mentoring colleagues, and guiding students with equal dedication. Widely respected for professionalism, vision, and leadership, he continues to be a driving force in advancing academic standards.

His career objective is to ensure quality teaching that fosters deep learning and critical thinking among students. Alongside teaching, he is dedicated to conducting meaningful research that contributes to academic advancement and provides practical solutions for society. With a strong emphasis on ethics and values, he strives to encourage students to become responsible, conscientious citizens who can serve the nation with integrity and innovation. Through his guidance, he aims to inspire learners not only to excel academically but also to uphold moral principles, thereby contributing to the overall progress and development of the nation. He was born in Narsingdi district.
