World University of Bangladesh (WUB), arranged a discussion meeting in Memory of ‘All Martyrs including Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ on August 15, 2017 at WUB auditorium. The event was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury where Mr. Nazrul Islam Khan, former Secretary, Ministry of education and Curator of  Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust was present as the Chief guest. Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer, WUB was as the welcome speaker and Prof. Dr. Musfiq  M.  Choudhury, Chief Advisor, WUB was present as special guest. Mr. Nazrul Islam Khan spoke about some of the affairs of the liberation movements made by Bangabandhu and asked students to build up their lives in accordance to the ideals of the Father of the Nation. Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury expressed some of his own struggling movements with Bangabandhu in his speech as the Chairperson of this occasion. At the end of the program he gifted some of his own written books such as Neta, Netri & Netritto; Leader, Leadership and Politics in Bangladesh; Bangabandhu O Bangladeshke Niye Mith O Mitthachar, Bangladesher Muktijuddhe Saptahik `Bangladesh’; Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib Sharok Grontho; Muktijuddho O Mujib Bahini; Amar Maa O Amrabotir Kotipoy Sontan; Ghatok Dalal Nirmul Andolone Smritibahi 1993 Year and Sheikh Mujib thekey Jatir Pita. Professor Choudhury donated two of his own pictures with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibor Rahman to the hands of Mr. Khan for keeping these pictures in the Bangabandhu Museum. Deans, Advisors, Heads of Departments, Faculty Members, Registrar, Senior Administrative Officials and about 400 students of English Department were present in this discussion meeting. The discussion meeting was arranged by the Department of English.
