Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and IEEE Student Branch, World University of Bangladesh organized a seminar on “Bridge Formation in Contaminated Transformer Oil” on September 02, 2015 at the auditorium of the main campus of WUB. Shekhar Mahmud, Ph.D, from University of Southampton, UK was the Keynote Speaker. The research dealt with particle sizes, shapes and electrode shapes that have major consequence on the performance of the insulation liquid. DC and DC bias AC voltages are always prone to the bridging problem. The ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Emeritus Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury as the Chief Guest followed by Professor Dr. M Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dr. Musfiq Mannan Choudhury, Secretary, Board of Trustees, WUB as Special Guests. Prof. Dr. Md. Amanullah Choudhury, Head, Department of EEE, WUB Chaired the session. Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering, Teachers and students were present in the seminar.
