The cultural club of World University of Bangladesh organized the closing ceremony of ‘Chaitra Sankranti’ Festival 2016 on April 12, 2016 at the auditorium of the university. The festival was presided over by Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury where Professor Samsuzzaman Khan, Director General of Bangla Academy, graced the occasion as chief guest. Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer and Dr. Musfiq  Mannan  Choudhury, Secretary, Board of Trustees of WUB were also present as special guests. Mr. Sayed Abdul Malek, Freedom Fighter and retired secretary was present and thanked the WUB for holding such a graceful ceremony.

A large number of stalls were anchored by students with varieties of items resembling traditional Chaitra and Boishaki foods and artistic materials.
