Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has organized an industrial visit at Atomic Energy Research Establishment (AERE) of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), Savar, Dhaka on August 4, 2022. WUB EEE Club and IEEE Student branch also cooperated the study tour. Fifty four students guided by six faculties joined the study tour. Mr. Mohammod Abu Sayid Haque, Director & CSO, AERE and Dr. Swapan Kumar Chakraborty, Director, SIU welcomed the students and delivered welcome speech with two documentary films.

During this tour, the students observed the historic first Research Reactor in Bangladesh. They had the opportunity to visit the five institutions—ICS, IE, IRPT, INST, and SIU guided by the expertise of the respected institute. They also went to a contemporary Radiation & VLSI Lab and learned about their applications in real-world prospects. Students learned about the functions of renewable energy through this tour. Additionally, they learnt how to use renewable energy to combat the negative effects of climate change.
