The Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh, arranged a seminar titled “Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology to Meet Next Generation High-Tech Demand” on June 17, 2023 at the Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury Auditorium, WUB. Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice-Chancellor,WUB was the chief guest of the seminar. Dr. Ruhul Amin Khan, Director, Institute of Radiation and Polymer Technology, was present as the special guest. Dr. Arifuzzaman Rahat, Research Fellow in the Research Centre for Carbon Dioxide Capture and Utilization (CCDCU), School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Sunway University (SU), Malaysia, adorned the program as the keynote speaker. He presented the speciality of nanomaterial. Besides, the keynote speaker explained how nanomaterials and nanotechnology would govern the future world. He also added the necessity of utilizing the uncontrolled emitted carbon dioxide and current research work which is going on. The audience enjoyed the seminar and participated in the discussion by joining the question-answer session spontaneously. In response to the questions on the use of nanomaterials and nanotechnology in the textile sector, he answered that nanomaterials and nontechnology have already taken place in the textile dyeing sector.
