A discussion and Doa Mahfil was held at the university auditorium on August 18, 2019 in commemoration of the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the initiative of the World University of Bangladesh. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mushfiq M. Chowdhury, Chief Adviser; Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Proctor, Heads of the Departments, Deans, Faculty Members, Administrative Personnel, and staff of World University of Bangladesh.
During the meeting, the speakers discussed the working life and ideals of Bangabandhu and urged the future generations to build a prosperous Bangladesh by educating themselves on their well-being by knowing the true history of Bangabandhu and great independence. They also said that to make Bangabandhu’s dream of building a ‘Golden Bangla’ a reality, everyone should work together to implement its ideal. At the end, participants prayed for the forgiveness of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members.
