Industrial Visit at Hossain Dyeing and Printing Ltd

The Department of Textile Engineering & Fashion Design at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organized an industrial tour to Hossain Dyeing & Printing Mills Ltd., one of the most technologically advanced textile manufacturers in the country. The mill, located in Tongi, Gazipur, operates under the renowned Anwar Group of Industries. The program took place on 26 July, 2025. Approximately 50 students from the Textile Engineering and Fashion Design & Apparel Technology program participated in the industrial visit.

At the outset of the tour, the students were warmly received by Kazi Md. Ramiz Uddin (Deputy General Manager, HR, Admin & Compliance) and Maidul Islam (Assistant General Manager, HR, Admin & Compliance) of Hossain Dyeing & Printing Ltd. During the tour, students gained practical insights into the complete textile manufacturing process, including weaving, dyeing, and finishing, and were also introduced to advanced apparel machinery. The Department of Textile Engineering & Fashion Design at WUB is dedicated to equipping its students with industry-relevant skills by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience, thereby ensuring quality and meaningful education.
