Busan University of Foreign Studies Delegation Visits World University of Bangladesh

A delegation from Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS), South Korea, visited the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM.

The visiting team included Ms. Kwow Sun Hee, Head of the Overseas Department at BUFS, along with two departmental staff members. Representatives from K CNC Dong IL Jeuag-Hansung University’s Overseas Department, Dr. Sobuj from Dhaka University, and other supporting officials also joined the visit.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen academic collaboration and discuss new opportunities between the two institutions. The discussions focused on establishing a BUFS Global Center at WUB, launching a Korean Language Department and Language Center, developing student exchange programs such as 1+3 undergraduate and 1+1.5 master’s pathways, and recruiting as well as exchanging language teachers. Both institutions also agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize the partnership, with further MoUs planned for specific collaborative initiatives.

The meeting was held in the Board Room of WUB, where Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar, warmly welcomed the delegation.

This visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening international cooperation, laying the foundation for expanded global learning opportunities and cross-cultural exchange for WUB students.
