The Fashion Design & Apparel Technology and Textile
Engineering programs under the Department of Textile Engineering at the World
University of Bangladesh (WUB) participated in the Bangladesh–China Green
Textile Expo (BCGTX) 2025, held from 23 to 25 October 2025 at the International
Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka.
The
prestigious event focused on promoting environmentally responsible practices
and showcasing the latest innovations in sustainable man-made fibers (MMF)
within the textile and apparel sectors. WUB students presented a diverse
collection of handcrafted and artistically designed items that demonstrated
their creativity, technical excellence, and commitment to sustainability.
The WUB stall
attracted remarkable attention from industry professionals, visitors, and
fellow participants, who highly praised the students’ innovative concepts and
artistic presentation. Their work reflected the university’s continuous
emphasis on integrating design innovation with eco-conscious production
methods.
Participation
in the expo provided WUB students with an invaluable opportunity to gain
hands-on exposure to cutting-edge developments in green textile technology
while engaging directly with leading figures in the textile industry. The
experience enriched their understanding of sustainable fashion and reinforced
WUB’s dedication to advancing creative and responsible textile education in
Bangladesh.
